We enjoyed October in South Dakota, we saw Mt. Rushmore, Black Hills, Custer state park and Crazy Horse. We took in a dinner theatre with western band and toured Fort Hays which is where the movie Dances with Wolves was shot. Got to meet the owner and chat for a while, he is a very amazing fellow! the weather here has been good for the most part, we had 50MPH winds for a few days and 1 day of rain, Mary thought the RV was going to roll as it was rocking so bad, I was worried for a short time when the gusts got to 60mph and were hitting us broadside. Early November we start our trip to Arizona by way of Wyoming, Utah and Nevada. We will take to days near Las Vagas to visit some friends and see the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, then on to Ehrenberg, Arizona. We have a camp site reserved right on the Colorado river which is the boarder to California. We have a lot planned while wintering over in Arizona, from off road trips to visit a few ghost towns to attending the largest RV show in the northern hemisphere. There is a gathering of Hams on BLM land in the desert in January which has been on my bucket list for many years and Joshua tree National Park in California is nearby. In March I think we will visit the Grand Canyon on our way back to Wisconsin. I'll try to do a better job of posting as we go here!
Enjoy life, it's too short to squander!
Photo below is the view of M Hill while we were hiking on Cowboy trail, It was put there in 1912 by the senior class of South Dakota Mines university and has been a Rapid City landmark since.
